And it comes from the Godfather of knowledge management - Tom Davenport.
In this Harvard article, his examples from Morgan Stanley are insightful, especially "golden questions." A collaborative cross-silo team and the BD knowledge manager (in charge of the experience management program) could easily identify the golden questions in their law firm.
As its primary approach to ongoing evaluation, Morgan Stanley has a set of 400 “golden questions” to which the correct answers are known.
